Provo City Center Temple

March 31, 2016-Today we went to the new Provo City Center Temple and did sealings there for the first time. It was beautiful inside and we felt so blessed to be there. Grant’s class was cancelled at the last minute which made it possible for us to go. We haven’t been able to go every week like we used to, but we feel blessed when our schedule opens up so we can go. We were able to finish a lot of family file names on both sides of the family. Some my dad researched, but many of them we were able to find. I think we are right on track to keep our end of year goal to find forty names this year and do the temple work as a family.

The Divinity of Motherhood

Going through the young women's program, if nothing else, taught me two important truths. 1) I am a daughter of God who loves me, and 2) Marriage and family are essential to God's plan of happiness. These truths were ingrained deep into my teenage heart so that I would often find myself dreaming of the days I could have a family of my own and be married to the man of my dreams. The "drama" of having to wait for this eternal family of my own caused me a lot of heartbreak as I desperately tried to wait patiently for the right timing and made a lot of dating mistakes. As I entered my freshman year of college, my priorities started to shift. I started worrying about school, finances, friends, and finding time for fun and I wasn't so focused on marriage and family anymore. Family Time in Lehi

We got to hang out with all the siblings and nieces and nephews for a few days and it was awesome! We dyed Easter Eggs, did Easter egg hunts, did egg jousting, watched Cokeville Miracle, and went out to eat. We tried a Thai and Japanese food restaurant. Quinton loves to play outside with his new uncle Grant.

Thanksgiving Break

We spent the weekend after Thanksgiving with Jeff and Melinda down in Saint George. Here we enjoyed some Mexican food at Irmitas.
